Haggai 1:1-7

I.    The Way of Procrastination (verses 1-2)

        A.    Their Mentality

                1.    The time is not come

                2.    Laziness, Blind to the truth

        B.    Their Manner

                1.    The time that the Lord's House should be built

                2.    Selfishness, procrastination

II.    The Way of the Prophet (verses 3-4)

        A.    His Authority

                1.    Then came the Word of the Lord by Haggai

                2.    Who gives God's man the right to call sin-sin? God!

        B.    His Advice

                1.    It is time

                2.    Get off your lazy rears and finish building God's House

III.    The Way of Penalty (verses 5-7)

        A.    Their Work

                1.    Sown much, and bring in little

                2.    Outside of God's will nothing is accomplished

        B.    Their Well-Being

                1.    Ye eat, ye drink, ye clothe

                2.    Outside of God's Will, you will never have enough

        C.    Their Worth

                1.    He that earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes

                2.    Outside of God's will your money will never go far
